Mother's day

It's mother's day today, and I know some here got weird dynamics with their family but I'd figure I'd ask anyway. What will you be doing/did for your moms today? Or want/wanted to do but unable to.

Well since it's weekend, it means nobody works and everyone staying home. So I guess I'll bring her favorite breakfast to bed. Then maybe drive us to the city for a good movie, fancy food place etc. Oh and can't forget the flowers, some really pretty ones like fire lilies. ^^

I made her a little heart out of wood. I think it came out pretty nice. Other than that, I haven't done anything more significant than spend time with her. I'd like to get her a real gift but I'm really bad at gifting. We'll see how it goes.

I just got through having her over to my apartment for an early mother's day dinner. I don't have much in the way of money for gifts, but to me that's not what it's about anyways. There's nothing I could get my mom or anything I could do that'd show what she means to me. She gave birth to me, raised me, was always there for me/family, I could/can always rely on her and she's always loved me. There are many reasons why there's nothing I could say or do, but this was the first time to have her over for dinner, I'd say it went well and the gesture was happily received.

We don't really live all that close to one another so I'll wish her a happy mom day tomorrow on the phone and I plan on sending her a center console for her car.

My mom and I have a complicated relationship. However, that doesn't stop me from celebrating the day with a woman who's a mother figure to me and my sister who does a bad-ass job being both a mom and dad for her kids. I let them know how much awesomeness they added to my life and treat them to lunch whenever they have the time.

Well my mother is in Texas and won't talk to me, in fact we haven't talked in about 2 years over a small misunderstanding. But if my mother and I were still close, I would take her out of town to an expensive dinner, take her shopping, give her a spa day and go clubbing with her... ..she loves clubs .-. .. But since I have my grandmother, I won't really be able to see her tomorrow but am hoping to buy her some Chinese takeout when I go visit her and my grandpa and give them both gifts :3 (my grandpa just got from the hospital so he gets a mothers day gift too :D )

Taken me mummy and grandmother out for a dinner and buy my mum some flowers, because she loves flowers.
