Prostitutes/Escorts: Would you wouldn't you.

arc
I hear what you are saying, Xynox. Human trafficking is still a big problem in Germany because of corrupt police officers and policies that are not working. That's why I'm suggesting that the funds be closely monitored so who it is going to. It's a tricky and complicated road, for sure. Germany needs to look into making bigger changes to their prostitution laws that weed out corruption. Other countries are coming up with new ways to legalize prostitution. The U.S. is way behind on this.

Well, I watched my friend die of Kaposi's Sarcoma, a complication of HIV. He was a gay man, like myself, we were good friends throughout school and he turned to the adult industry and the prostitution, picked up HIV and didn't know he had HIV until it had progressed to advanced stage AIDS. I had to watch him die with cancer, pneumonnia and other diseases literally eating him alive. He had nobody in his life. I paid for all of his medical bills and his funeral because otherwise nobody would have cared. His family shut him out, society shut him out. People have seen Philadelphia - well I had to live that nightmare. Therefore I generally take a "Yes, prostitution is fine, BUT it has to be closely regulated" stance. Morally, it brings human trafficking, STDs and other problems into the mix.

Prostitution is just like beeing an Otaku. You are looked down upon and no one would want to get to know you better. I feel sorry for that comparison but that is just the case in just about any country. (Maybe not Sweden, but they shure are a nice folk for their anti-Submarine sensors literally bullying Putin with gay pictures)

Here in Canada it's Legal to sell Sexual Services but it is illegal to purchase them; although I cannot remember the entire law and regulations behind it(Might have to do more research). I don't think it's a law but more-so a strategy to find and arrest said individuals that may buy or traffic such people, Where i am from there are many independent prostitutes or some do it for local gangs and such; Although one thing is sure that the majority are fiends(addicts); Heroin, Crack or whatever... they mostly do needles and such. The Entire idea of a prostitute is sad and pathetic for the buyer. I believe I had Aunts whom Hook'ed on the street; although i wouldn't know since nobody really talked about it -- I do know that the majority were addicts or came up in some sort of problem. We can't keep people from turning to that life -- the most we can do as a community: is offer Support via programs for addiction and other programs for it. Personally i hate the entire idea of the practice; because i grew up around these people, i live across the street from one and am unsure if a few live in the apartment complex i currently reside in. Some of them are doing it because they've been doing it forever and know no other way. The majority of women in the Sexual industry suffer from some form of trauma or addiction or are forced into it. What i think? Don't buy them, Help them. Update: it is also a pretty nasty business; a lot of sketchy people... Sadly women go missing all the time while hooking. I've known prostitutes whom run-in into the occasional Creepy guy while doing it, a common strategy prostitutes use is acquiring some form of identification of the buyer and having a third person on stand-by if the person isn't back within an hour or two depending what the agreement was; Although it usually is a Car license plate and a description of the guy driving it. Although not a lot of prostitutes do that.

Once while just chilling in my car there was one that knocked on my window; i declined and gave her free 20 dollars and told her to get something to eat instead also to seek help, then i rolled it up.

It doesn't matter what she did, She has the Choice to make that decision; what she chooses to do is her own. You can't Deprive an addict of their addiction and expect them to change. Everything is a conscious decision. I did what i can to help. That's the important thing, Besides: Money is Money, Ethics and Values... That's real worth. Besides it only means that i helped her do one less degrading act for money.
