Our idea; Your opinion

My twin sister and I LOVE anime, and manga a lot, so we thought of our own story that we hope will become an anime or manga someday. We wanted to hear you guys opinion of how the story sounds. We call it "Anime Amy" Its about a anime otaku named Amy Clearglass, Amy has lived a pretty normal life that any regular otaku could live, and shes transferring into a new school with her BFF, Nicole. The academy is called Rose Academy. Amy has never had the experience of falling in love before, but all that changes when she comes face to face with......the academy's own Headmaster!! :O As she gets used to her new surroundings, she finds out that she, like her parents were, a destined legendary fighter, who's supposed to defeat the army of an evil fighter, and protect the Sword of Two Worlds (human world and the fighters world), all the while she is to be trained by her trainer/partner the headmaster! And keep her power and destiny a secret from everyone, even her best friend. Well that's basically the plot for the story, pls respond telling what you think of it. :)

-pushes up glasses and becomes coniseur of manga- Any specific genre you aiming for? Shonen or Shojo? Seinen? Personal opinion, the story is very original but the individual ideas are far from very original. Your also cramming a lot of things into one particular story line. You have a kind of romance/battle cross that can be worked out pretty well but it can be kinda difficult. And remember to be a really good manga/anime it needs to last more than a couple of chapters,which in reality can be pretty hard since for an anime you need to aim for at least 30 chapters, and they need to be kinda detailed if you shoot for bare minimum. Also, you might wanna come up with a fancier name for the fighters xD calling them fighters is a kind of gag manga technique, simplicity. The beginning seems a bit complex and would probably take up like five chapters ness you make. Really long first like Tegami Bachi did. Umm...hope that helped? XD didn't mean to write that much

Okay, thnx for ur opinion. We're still new to the writing process, so we didn't really think of good names for other characters or title of the hero, but you know, live and learn. And the genre is more of romance, comedy, fantasy, blah blah blah... :P but mostly the romance. The big fighting and training are mostly bits. We are working on drawing and expanding the story to become a manga, right now it's just a story on paper, but it's coming along.

You can change the names of the character now, right? you should consult a baby names website if you're feeling uninspired about that. Names are the most important thing for me. Then the characters just write themselves.

We might need help thinking of names for characters, or changing some. if u want to, pls suggest some names (preferably japanese names) if you need an outline of the characters personality pls say so.

All right. Well the main character Amy is a bit energetic, funny, has a very huge crush on the headmaster (so a bit clumsy now and then), is new to love, cute, and can sing. (hope this helps, these outlines are what I see for them.) The headmaster is calm, cool, smart, a bit surprising every now and then,a great sword fighter/trainer, and possibly a romantic (if we can get him to show a possible feeling for Amy ;D ) Amy's best friend is funny, energetic, a hopeless romantic, and wants to know what's going on between Amy and her crush. The villain, or the evil fighter(still thinking of a better title for the "fighters") is evil, a bit crazed, wants power over the two worlds, and (this is a recent idea) wishes to make Amy a follower of him, and make her his bride/queen. If you also want to know what Amy's powers that she has is, pls ask.

The headmaster sounds potentially emotionally distant, but that's because he's always around students, so he feels it's his duty to remain professional. So he could actually be a super-romantic, but he never gets to show it because a relationship with a student is kind of a taboo. In my mind, that makes him seem kinda mysterious, so I tried to find names befitting that. <b>Headmaster names:</b> Katsuo (hero, manly), Ren (lotus, romance, love), Osamu (discipline), Ryou (cool, refreshing, distant), Takumi (artisan, skilled), Yuu (gentleness, superiority, distant, leisurely). Since you mentioned that you might wanna change some names, I'm going to put some suggestions for Nicole, too. I tried to go for names that seem supportive and light-hearted. <b>Best friend names:</b> Akiko (sparkle, bright, autumn [ko = child]), Kokoro (heart, spirit), Mai (dance), Kyou (cooperation [it has a lot of meanings]). I'm really digging the villain idea, but names for him are kind of hard since nobody is named something evil from birth. Here we go... <b>Villain names:</b> Koiji (love's path [I was going for irony with this name]), Hayato (falcon person), Hibiki (echo, sound [I like this one]), Souta (suddenly, smoothly), Yuudai (hero, manly, large, great [more irony]) . As far as Amy goes, I guess that's up to you. Nobody understands her better!

Wow! Those all sound like great names! (now the challenge is picking one for the character) :P lol but thank you for all your suggestions ^^
