But fo reals, One piece, Anohana, FMA. Movies would be wolf children and grave of the fireflies. (it was more like i felt too hollow inside to even cry.)

I really don't get teary eyed from watching anime. I blame the way the Japanese tend to emote sadness in dramas as part of the reason why (someone yelling the other person's name in the rain then cue sappy music and flashbacks). Anime shares a lot in common with Japanese theater, which means everyone tends to VERY STRONGLY EMOTE ABOUT EVERYTHING! This is all fine and good, and I don't really have a problem with this, other than it's not conducive for making me sad.
One anime, though, did manage to make me cry, and cry fairly hard, and that was Clannad: After Story. I won't lie. I'm not a huge fan of the anime, as I find most of the tear jerking parts at the end to be manipulative in a bad way. But holy shit some parts work well. The section in particular that really worked for me was where Tomoya is trying to bond with his daughter Ushio following the death of Nagisa. Ushio treats him coolly for most of their time, but the two continue to do things together, and eventually she acknowledges him as her father.
That hit me right in the feels. I was watching the episode in a public place, shielding my eyes so no one could tell I was crying. I wouldn't watch the anime again, but I appreciate that it made me feel those kinds of emotions at the particular part.
