Favorite Videogame Soundtrack?

SMTIV really nailed its battle themes in general. A lot of them have a real...samurai feel to them (don't know how else to describe it). Very fitting. SMTIV Apocalypse's soundtrack is good too, but it doesn't have that distinctive feel that I get listening to IV's soundtrack, unfortunately.

I think the Atlus Sound Team (Shoji Meguro, Kenichi Tsuchiya, Ryota Kozuka, Atsushi Kitajoh, Toshiki Konishi, etc.) as a whole probably make my favorite videogame music ever. I'm really into the Digital Devil Saga games right now and the soundtracks by Shoji Meguro in that are unbelievably good. Especially Digital Devil Saga 2 with it's Battle Themes: Battle for Survival, Madness, Epic Battle, Hunting - Betrayal, Heroic Battle, and Divine Identity. I also love how well the Atlus Sound Team (Especially Meguro) can do really different styles for each game. Like for example these soundtracks that were composed by Shoji Meguro: -Persona 3 (Hip-Hop, J-Pop) -Digital Devil Saga (Rock, Electronic) -Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey (Orchestral)

Oh dang I totally forgot all about Digital Devil Saga's soundtracks. Those are definitely some of my favorites, too. Yeah, Meguro in particular is insane. And then you've got Persona 5's soundtrack, which sounds kinda acid jazz-y. I'm pretty convinced at this point that anything Meguro makes in *any* style would be pure gold. He's just that good.

Also there's some feel about Persona 4's soundtrack that keeps me coming back to it. Like in my opinion it's not the best Atlus game soundtrack out there but something about always makes me go back to it. Persona 3 on the other hand (P3, FES, P3P, and the Anime Movies) have my favorite OST's. 1. Because they sound amazing and 2. It holds a special place in my heart because if I didn't listen to the track "Burn My Dread - Last Battle" that a friend showed me I wouldn't have tried to get into Persona or Shin Megami Tensei for that matter and MegaTen is probably my favorite videogame franchise so I'm grateful for it. xD
