Android over IOS or vice versa and why

Depends on preferences. iOS is classic, practical, simple and secure. Android is open (literally.. it's open source ..you can do anything with it after rooting it, though it's a pain in the ass to root an Android), creative and very individualistic. I use iOS though.. I've been using Android for 5 years before getting my first iPhone and am quite content with iOS's simplicity now. Though Apple products are still fucking over-priced.

Well said xynox. To be honest I ve never owned an iphone but I ve seen some basic things about the interface on the internet. It does focus on simplicity rather than giving you a ton of features we dont know what to do with. Still, I do prefer android for it s customisability (namely custom audio mods ) . By the way did you find it easy switching to ios after using android for so many years ?

I did. But that's because I've had iPods since I was 13.. so I was pretty much used to it. I think it would be different if I really had no connection to iOS whatsoever and then had to switch to it. Yeah... and guess what idiot paid 800€ (with insurance) for it? Me. Sometimes I doubt my own sanity.

No need to judge yourself for indulging into buying an iphone for the full price. I know plenty of people who bought it without carrier subsidies or plan instalments. Been thinking of getting one myself at some point. Till then, I still got my Note 3 xD

iphones only real disadvantage imo is the price. As far as apps go, they usually get them first or have the most stable or well made ones because of the OS. Android's main advantage is how much cheaper it tends to be for it's devices and is very integratable with most streaming stuff. My chromecast gets tons of use.

I bought an android so I could make my own apps with java and put it on my phone to test without using emulators, seemed more fun to me than owning an iphone.
