Biggest Anime Disappointment?

SAO should have stopped after Season 1, Episode 14. Everything after felt unecessary, and it made Asuna a freaking wimp. She was so awesome at first. Then they turned her into a super generic damsel in distress character who gets molested by a tentacle monster.

Easy! Unlimited Blade Works. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad anime, it just wasn't what I'd hoped. To explain - I watched most of the first Fate/Stay anime adaptation when I was first getting into anime, but dropped it. When Fate/Zero came along, I gave it a chance. To my surprise it utterly blew me away. I wasn't completely sold on the ending at first, but after rewatching the series several times over I came to love it. To me it was, and still is, the greatest anime of all time. Naturally, when I heard that there was a new Fate/Stay anime in the works by the same studio that developed Fate/Zero I almost exploded with hype. Of course, the source material for F/S and F/Z are completely different, so I can't blame Ufotable, but when my perfect, dark and despairing anime became a shounen high school harem, I was most..... sad.

Any mouthy manga that becomes a anime. Starts out following to story, then turns and gives some Mediocre ending. Soul Eater, Blue Exorcism, Attack on Titans, and the list goes on. I always tell people to read the manga it is better. Soul Eaters manga ending was epic, amazing, and genius. The ending in the anima was crap next to it.

Angel Tail. I was severely disappointed by this anime. The fight scenes were short and boring. The plot was so cheesy that I thought it was written by a clown. The art style wasn't great. The character development was super lame. There's only one anime that I have watched that is worse than that one I don't remember the name for it. I'm going to call that other one a waste of time.

I really enjoy this thread. It helps me avoid some pitfalls when it comes to anime series ^_^

Uraboku, an yaoi series without a single kiss scene between two guys, i lost sleep just hoping for only one kiss scene. It's a damn tease anime for Fujoshi's and Fudanshi's.

Season two of Haruhi. To this day I still wonder if they were deliberately trying to piss off the fans and/or see what they could get away with. When you've got an extremely popular anime with a long awaited follow up, and just air the same ep eight times in a row with minor changes, it's hard not to think of it as trolling.

Valvrave godlike opening though
