Liking The Same Person

i've had it happen before like when you like someone alot then suddenly someone else starts taking interest too its like your competing over one person. i would turn into a complete yandere but then again why fight over someone that isnt with you? if they truly liked you then you wouldnt need to compete over someone

In my circle of friends growing up we had a rule. Don't step in on someone if they got there first or they agreed to step aside privately. We all knew who each other were into. Can't do anything about strangers butting in and in the club scene you will have to contend with a douche PUA trying it to kick his ego on a rare occasion. Then you get to play social chess...there is a natural social system to it especially with countering PUAs.

I kinda hate this kind of idea of "dibs" or fighting over someone. It really diminishes the autonomy of the person that is being liked. I mean, sure don't deliberately go and sabotage an active relationship where both people are going steady. But ultimately, the two of you who have the crushes don't make the choice. Whoever is the one being crushed on gets the option of choosing and they could honestly chose none of you. Honestly, if I felt strongly enough to actually confess, then I'd confess even if there's "competition". Because I can't assume what someone else is thinking and I care enough to want to know.

Happen sometimes. I just let the other person have them. Sure, it hurts a bit but when my feelings fade for another, I won't really care for them anymore like anything happen to them, not my problem. Unless I've became really good friends with someone who I used to like then I'll just like them as a friend and care for them. "I'll fight for love but never compete for it."
