Being too nice a bad thing?

Being to nice is not technically a bad thing. However in my experience there are times when being nice is inappropriate and can in fact make you out to be a bad person. I myself am nice to everyone in my own way depending on the person and the vibe given off by said people i choose to hang around. Also being "nice" can vary from person to person, One might like getting compliment while another might like being insulted, in a way an insult can be the best thing for someone to snap out of being sad. So yeah in a sense being too nice can be a bad thing , you just gotta read your surroundings. Now if any of this made sense *highfive*

I think yes to an extent it can be a problem. If you are constantly doing things for others, and nothing for yourself, it wil probably make you unhappy. It is not like doing things for others is a bad thing, but you need to take care of number one first. Otherwise you will probably burn yourself out, and become a bitter person, because everyone took advantage of your kindness. You have to learn when it is good to say yes, and good to say no. However if you already live by that principle then it isn't a problem!

no I don't think so. we need more nice, honorable and loving people in this world. peoples lives and emotions aren't a game (something to mess with). people can label me as a fool for being too nice, i just see the good in people no matter what.

Sigh yeah probably I shouldn't be that way its gotten me broken an messed up alot but suprise im still too nice an it's a problem I think for me getting taken advantage of I like helping people..

I don't think there is such thing as being too nice - it's just common courtesy to be kind, respectful and pleasant to others like an actual, normal human being. Being a pushover on the other hand is a bad thing, you can be super nice and have the balls to stand up for yourself at the same time - it's really not that foreign of a concept.
