who should become the next US president?

The reality is that any society where it's people have significant wealth disparity will have major issues with crime, poverty, drugs etc. and will eventually collapse even without outside intervention.

I am for a redistribution of wealth because the 1% is so rich, having them pay more taxes would virtually not effect their wealth anyway. This isn't because people deserve free shit, it's because everyone's quality of life would improve. The one thing that kills me every day if I let it get to me is knowing I work 2 jobs and am not able to save anything ANYTHING out of either jobs. Those 2 jobs is how I survive from month to month. They are the only things keeping me from being homeless and wandering the streets or crashing on couches of friends or family. To think I would have to continue living that kind of life makes the future look dire and bleak. So yeah, I'm voting for a socialist in the up-coming election - because there has to be more to life than this shit.

^This, massive wealth disparity creates an unhappy populace which leads to self-destruction of the country whether slowly or quickly. People are rarely happy when under constant stress. If it gets really bad....French Revolution, etc. Or economic collapse.

Everyone should be given the basics to survive, food, water, shelter, clothing. Even if they just sit at home getting fat till they die. Or introduce natural predators to cull the population. But people should never have to struggle too much for basic materialistic needs or you have an unhappy populace and sick society.

Wealth redistribution increases wealth disparity. So I'll have to respectfully disagree with you, but that's what makes America great. You get to have your own views and vote for whoever you want.

^ America is pretty great
vampire_neko
Nonsense Gudmoore. But depends on how you do it as far as how effective it is.
vampire_neko
America is pretty great if you compare us to shitty and 3rd world countries. Otherwise we are mediocre.

@vampire_neko: I'm not trying to knock on any other 1st world countries when saying that. XD http://i.imgur.com/JkogZ.png

Gudmoore you're conflating the idea of wealth redistributing, a feature of Communism, with socialist state services. If you're going to talk to me, someone who is against Marxism but hates Conservatism far far worse, at least make an attempt to educate yourself on the differences between Communism and Socialism, because the next time you conflate them I'm going to lose my patience. The idea under Sanders' model is that the middle class has the brunt of government expenses lifted off their shoulders and they're put on the people who can afford it, those with take him pay of $500k+/year. That would be for general expenses. What people like you and me would end up paying for are services we actually are using, like roads, hospitals etc. Because currently the middle class is paying for services we use, and for things like the defense budget. I'm tired of myoney going to murdering people in other countries. Furthermore, the idea is that we, the middle class, would end up with greater disposable income because things we would normally pay for would be already paid for. This is why in countries like Sweden the people have high income taxes of around 60% of their income but live better, they don't have expenses we have to shoulder. Now am I saying that this is ideal? No it isn't. Under my ideal system it would be toll/sales-tax with a flat 10% tax rate on our take home pay regardless of income. But, I cant have my freedoms taken away by Conservatism just for the sake of economic freedom. I am an atheist white male of Middle Eastern descent, so I am targeted despite not being Muslim because of people like Trump and Cruz who generalize against people from the Middle East to pander to the evangelist white people who are so close minded they should fucking kill themselves. That's why I'm voting for Sanders. If someone like Rand Paul or Gary Johnson was spearheading the Republican party, they would have my vote no problem. But I won't bite for people that are fascist in all but name. Tell me Gudmoore, look over the Bush tax cuts. Tell me what percentage of them apply to the Middle class, which we can set under $200k. Then tell me what applies to the bourgeoisie, anyone above $200k. Then tell me how that's fair.
