alrighty, i think i posted a thingy somewhere around here, but ill reiterate, was wondering what the general cost is (ie:gate admission if there is such), also, does one have to go cosplay to even attend or can one just go as is?, also, what kind of costumes are appropriate?, as I've never been to one of them conventions before I'm not quite sure of the protocol involved, what happens at conventions exactly?, is it like just a gathering for fans to exchange ideas or is there more to it?

Conventions is where you go to not WATCH anime, but to LIVE anime! I love them. They have panels where anime industry people talk about their jobs, concerts with popular J-artists (usually OP/ED singers), panels where people just sit down and talk about anime, otaku dating games, lots of anime merchandise, a million cosplay photoshoots, etc... definitely go to one when you get the chance

It verys but a ticket for say two people can be $70 total or $50 a pop or less depending on the convention then you have to pay for a hotel which is more money of course then you'll need money for food, the artist alley, and the dealers room and for water bottles You can go as anyone oe anything so long as it fallow the con rules (and each con is different) Its a gathering of fans, panles, voice actors and special gusts come, a little bit of shopping with the dealers room (which is one big anime geeks dream of anime stuff being sold) and the artist alley (artist selling there work) its watching anime, playing video games, seeing ball joint dolls, panles, and sometimes off scdhual things like cosplayers acting silly and code geass pizza party
