Oregon University Shooting and Gun Control.

Gun control only takes guns out of the hands of responsible people who go through the legal system to get guns and takes away their means to protect themselves. Criminals who acquire weapons via the black market will not be effected. More people die in car crashes every year than in anything gun related, so why not ban cars? oh right because that'd be stupid.

I own a gun. I hope I never have to use it, but its necessary in most of the US for me to own a gun because I drive nice cars and have been the target of mugging in the past. Never had to shoot anyone, but its smart for me to carry a gun.

Yeah you just try rounding up all the guns spread out across the US. You'll eventually get most of the legally bought ones from honest people no problem, but good luck tracking down the rest.

Does anyone have stats on the types of weapons used for these mass shootings? I know at least in this instance the guns were purchased legally and weren't illegal weapons.

While guns SHOULD be controlled, and as much as I want to, I don't think guns should be illegal It's in our constitution sadly and we have to respect that, but that doesn't mean it can't be STRICTLY regulated, mainly in handguns.

I heard an interesting blub mentioning how our guns cause a lot of issues in Mexico's drug war. They'll get guns legally here and then take them south of the boarder. Looks like Mexico may be willing to fund a wall after all.
