Look at my Boobs

A Dragon Con story It's not what you think I'm just looking for tips and advice. So at Dragon con I had a horrible emergency the holster for my cyberpunk gun broke, my mask broke and my wiring almost completely came off ! Needless to say there was at least three trips to wal mart. So with my costume falling apart i came up with the joke well they'll be looking at my boobs not my holster. So i'm looking for some tips/advice. How do you prevent such damage to cosplays ? Do you bring all your supplies with you in case of repair ? What's a good item that you bring for quick repairs? Have any good stories ? Any future advice for getting through a crowd with out calamity ? What do you think i should have done ?

it depends on what it's made of. If it's just a regular stitch just sew it back together and try a stronger stitch. If not that maybe super glue or hot glue

I had tons of cosplay malfunctions and i do normally bring a repair kit but sometimes i don't feel like doing a very thorough repair,so i just really use a glue gun or duct tape. Glue gun and duct tape are normally a cosplayers best friend when stuff like this happens. By the way what material did you make your holster out of? That could be the problem if you used light material. Also the only way i know to prevent calamity is to probably stay away from really crowded areas at a con if you have something that can be easily damage or you can try to get people to clear you a path,but it's like talking to a brick wall when congoers are crowding an area.
