Good article on gender and perception...

Technically, if you feel the need to post about how you don't care, then obviously you care enough to post your opinion about not caring; you are in fact contradicting yourself. If you really didn't care, you wouldn't be posting here at all.

The physiological, anatomical, and biological aspects of it are interesting. Perhaps eventually nature will allow same sex couples to reproduce on their own. That's not to say it will happen in our lifetime but maybe in a few thousand years of evolution permits. On another note, meh. I'm pretty traditional in terms of gender. That's not to say I know I could never be attracted to someone who has swapped genders ... But I can say I am attracted to men and especially the romantic ideologies regarding men (which I'm convinced all great characters women love are made up by women rather than physically conceived lol), but I am also attracted to women for different reasons. For me, this is where it gets tricky. I am fine with people's preferences as in not disgusted by or against LGBT factors. These people are my friends. But knowing a man is bisexual is s turn off for me; I would be less likely to be attracted to them. I acknowledge it makes me a hypocrit and can hardly explain why this tends to bother me. On the other hand, women who have had children are also less attractive to me. *shrug* we are weird creatures.

Interesting read. We still understand little of the mind and body but science reinforces some theories as research goes on. I do not often trust research from the social/gender studies sectors as they are often found to be academically dishonest. I have friends and some family who are part of the local LGBT community and think they should have the same rights as any human being. My gender and sex are very certain and congruent to my apparent biology. I am a genuine masculine man and will only desire a genuine feminine woman. It is just the way nature wired me. This lesbian tried to live as a man for over a year to research a book about gender. She gets testosterone not being in women's bodies and strip clubs wrong but acknowledges it is impossible to understand fully as she was not really a man.
