Egos

trahecreations
Okay, no idea how to approach this topic. so let's dive in. I deal with egotistical people everyday. While I say I am egotistical, I am what you call stealth egotistical as you don't know what you say that boosts my ego. However dealing with full on egotistical people is annoying. How can I get them to focus on something besides themselves? example: when I am getting ready to move. I ask everyone for help to move because I already know they will let me down so I hope to catch someone. However in most cases they say "I won't help you if ____ is there." or "Unless I am able to be there from the beginning and see everything I won't help you!" or "If you don't go where I want you to, then I won't help you." Or "You must keep it a secret, tell them you were with me, you were helping me. You got nothing." How can I deal with people's egos when they down play me. And their egos always get biggest on moments that should be my moments. Like if I get a solo in a musical, it apparently is theirs and all about them. How do I deal?

I would tell them in an adult manner to grow up just deal with it and put up with the people that don't like each other

I had a very insightful reply to this topic but was distracted by my reflection in my monitor and forgot it while admiring how drop dead sexy I am. Anyways what were we talking about here again? oh right me, I'm so awesome!

funny neet I have told them undertaker, but some people are dense and Darku that is easier said than done. More so since I don't get attached to people easily. Every friend I have in my life attached themselves to me first.

Stop dealing with them. If you can't deal with their characters instead of changing them as you wish you should just find different mates. Karma will get to them someday but until that day it's pointless to persuade them to change themselves. Since they're egoistic their opinion is the only opinion that will count for them anyway.

Egos? Girl I've got them all I'm fabulous https://38.media.tumblr.com/859fdb188de59d994ea58acadf0facc2/tumblr_n4e3a9w2kw1ra1w6no1_r1_500.gif Ok to the serious matter... I would probably get away from people like that and just let them be. Through their lives they will find some walls they cannot put down, that'll make them change and it will be more interesting that way since it will hurt them a lot so they'll realize how pathetic their existences are, hopefully before they are dead. Humans can't not directly influence neither mold other humans personalities unless said humans are children. This said, don't worry too much about those people and if they treat you that way tell them directly or just go away. You're more important than a bunch of egotistical idiots given that you're the one living your life not them.

It's important to know what level of ego they have, so it is important to note the 9 characteristics of Narcissistic personality disorder. -Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements) -Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love -Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions) -Requires excessive admiration -Has a very strong sense of entitlement, e.g., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations -Is exploitative of others, e.g., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends -Lacks empathy, e.g., is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others -Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her -Regularly shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes 4 of these will class you as an Egomaniac or diagnosed with Narcissistic disorder, when you hit 7 or more characteristics, it becomes life endangering, they are classed with cult leaders, and the total 9 would be the most dangerous human in society, essentially turning them into bonerfied murderers. E.G Manson So finally, in conclusion, be glad they aren't level 7 and above NPD's and you're still alive, if they are, I suggest for your own personal safety to get as far away from them as possible, people with NPD hold grudges... forever
