Can anyone recommend me a anime where the main character is a hikikomori/loner?

The Zetsubou Sensei series had a great character that happened to be one~ Also, Sasami from Sasami-san@Ganbaranai

+1 one for NHK, the show's pretty much entirely about Hikikomori. I guess Rosen Maiden is about a Hikikomori but it's more of a secondary plot point.

To be exact though the main character in NHK isn't a complete Hikikomori. He leaves his home regularly to visit a park. He is still however probably the best example of a Hikikomori you'll ever see in an anime.
