Well. Project Zomboid is an horror survival game. Though i wont say i get scared like afraid or jumpscared. But the survival is there as you are an survivor in an zombie apocalypse world. I missed out on Dead Island due to taking a gaming hiatus. I think I'll get it soon. Then get my Xbox fixed and play Alan Wake.

I second the corpse party suggestion. It has no jumpscares, but it is quite a disturbing game to play. It's more along the lines of a VN if you are into that.

Yeah i agree I have it on my vita its between a vn and a RPG disturbing very good story tho I can't believe there is gonna be a live action movie

I havent read the manga, cause i rarely do that. But i seen the anime. The anime is really good.
