help a friend

So i have 5 best guy friends, one of them is the one who introduced me to anime,so he recently fell in love with my ex,and I really don't mind,the thing is that she has him in the friendzone and he knows about it, she even told me that she just likes to order him around,she is not nice to him because he is not very good looking and despite i told him her real intentions,he just told me that it didn't matter and he will love her forever, so i ask you guys, how can I help my friend? he is really depressed and i'm afraid he gets really sick or worse

Dang man ummm so basically he says he is in love with her idk if there is much to do. Maybe set him up with someone else? Or find some way to make him not like her anymore :/ yeah i dont think you can help him much

You can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped. Which is a nicer way of saying your friend needs to have his heart stomped in order to face the reality that this is nothing more than a one-sided infatuation and he's allowing himself to be manipulated. Things will turn messy when she grows tired of his attentions, emotionally, physically and possibly legally.

He has to get out of that himself. It's nothing that you can do for him. The best thing I can think of is just to be there for him as a friend if you can and support him through it.

I've been in a spot like this before. Not much you can do but let time run its course and talk to him about it because he'll probably want to get stuff off his chest. Sooner or later he'll have to learn himself that love is a two way street, and decide he's better off.

He is in a self-imposed prison and has to want to leave it. All you can do is warn your friend of the hazards. If you want to help him more with the depression, keep him active and busy doing fun and/or physically intensive activities without the girl around if possible. If he does not want to leave his prison hope the girl starts dating someone soon. There are many anime that tell the tale of the misery of someone who is just happy they can be close to the object of their desire without winning it.
