If anyone has been going through history, people like Hitler or Genghis Khan always have people that back them up with funding and resources because of their own purposes. Take Hitler, for example, he was a self-righteous man with an incredible strength of will and charisma. Fritz Thyssen, owner of Germany's largest steel producer and a large bank, the Union Banking Corporation (UBS), saw an opportunity in him to drive his goals of getting the Jews who were his competition in German finance, and of course, profit. Thyssen began bankrolling Hitler's campaign to become the Chancellor of Germany, which led to him becoming its dictator under martial law. UBS had several offshore divisions, including one in the US, which was managed by one Prescott Bush, grampa to George W. Bush. UBS's operations in both Germany and the US before the war allowed both Thyssen and Bush to profit greatly, and had all their cards on Hitler becoming Fuhrer. He did, but war broke out shortly after, which cut ties between UBS's German and US operations, leaving Bush with several boatloads worth of cash. Long story short, whether or not Hitler was right NEVER mattered. At the time, what mattered were the whims of a few gangsters with incredible amounts of money and ambition in both their hands and their minds.
