Damn, this thread really blew up... Guys, I think we can agree that Alistair's feelings of wanting to do something in that situation were not wrong. His moral compass is pointed in the right direction. As I said in the first reply, and as Arc just said as well, the best option would be step forward and say something. Violence for violence is never the correct option. But! I also think calling Alistair out like this is downright uncalled for. The guy gets it, let him be. I don't think this verbal abuse is necessary or warranted!

yaasshat, it was for ass. Let's be real here. If two girls were making fun of a fat guy there's no way in hell he'd have done the same thing. He was obviously trying to impress/save her to win points with her. Tiger Festival, this guy physically assaulted someone. If you think calling him a piece of shit for doing that is just as bad then you clearly never had a 75 lb dumb bell dropped on you. ararararagi_kun, yes talking with them would have been the appropriate thing to do and calling Alistair out like this is completely necessary since he lakes the common sense required to see this for himself. This guy did something very wrong and needs to be informed of that or he'll might do it again. Stuff like this shouldn't be allowed to slide, he's clearly a danger to society if he thinks stuff like this is okay or cool to do. Nothing gives Alistair the right to assault people in this situation, any half way decent cop, layer, or judge would say the same thing.

Neet, did you not see my rant about 4 girls tormenting me when I was younger? If genders were switched in this, I would have done the same thing. Gender means nothing to me. We are all just brains controlling meat suits. I'm not trying to play off how horrible I acted, I'm just trying to make it clear I wasn't trying to win anyone over. Also, a "danger to society"? I volunteer at homeless shelters, YMCA, and community clean-up crews. One outburst of me assaulting a dudes foot isn't enough to judge my whole existence a danger to society.

@Alistar just ignore him. Yeah I also read the part about the 4 girls, inspite of what they're dealing with at home, it's still no excuse for them to bully you, although doing so might've helped them, but still isn't right.

Remember, you are not the majority. ;) I think his main thing was how said victim reacted, which really though a bit rash, was still on point.I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure Alistair knows he was in the wrong for the way he went about things. I understand reacting on emotions like anger, but it's always good to sit and really think about your options before you act brashly.

Also if anyone cares to know, the weight hit the floor before it hit his foot. it wasn't a dead drop all on his foot. But anyways, I am gonna head over to the gym and get foot guys membership info. I plan on apologizing and confirming his foots status.

Went to the gym and got the guys number. I called him up and tried to get a face to face but he said no. So over the phone it was. Explained what I did and why I did it and after about 4 minutes of him bitching me out he suddenly started laughing and said "Ya know, maybe I deserved a clean shot to the face. You do you and I'll do me. peace bitch" Still a bit confused but he isn't pressing charges and his foot is only sore, he can run and use it properly just fine.
