Favorite Book Genres

Just curious to see what other people's favorite book genres are and why. or even favorite authors (: (avid reader here so love chatting about books and why people like them)

I honestly am a big non-fiction guy. But a lot of comedy and parody works its way in there too. "Nightlight" and "The Hunger Pains" Otherwise I'm big on the Tom Clancy styled stuff. "H.A.W.X" being the most recent thing I've bought. Yeah... guess I'm rather boring.

Dark fantasy The occasional romance Horror. Mystery psychological Detective novels Thats my normal books but some genres also apply to manga

Fantasy outside manga. always fantasy.

mystery, horror, cultural/ historical I don't like a romance novel. usually I will search a biography of author before buying a novel.
