Would you even EVER consider dating someone with a disability? Why or why Not? :) Radical Honesty, don't be afraid to "hurt" my

Honestly it all depends on how severe it is, and if the person has enough control over it. I have depression and anxiety, but I try to keep it in line, and pretty much the only thing I can't do is a real job or being outgoing. I can make friends if they are open-minded/accepting of that. Now, it also depends on what the disability does or how severe it is or if they're receiving treatment/management... When I dated someone who was bipolar(and I dunno what else), he became a threatening and violent stalker later on. That kind of traumatized me, and it still haunts me in my dreams. Well, I don't let that dictate who I go out with, though. I don't think I have ever dated a "normal" person before. Autistic people tend to be either funner or more intelligent, and I feel more able to relate to them, as well as some people with OCd, ADHD, depression, anxiety, etc. Basically, as long as the person isn't letting their disability consume them and turn them into violent or scary people, nothing is wrong.

I feel pretty similar the way you do, Kohagura. It is only when they become creepy and/or scary that gets to me. I also have depression and anxiety but somehow, I am incredibly out going.

Depends on the disability. If PTSD, depression, bipolar, anxiety and ADHD are considered "disabilities", then yes I have and will likely again. As for physically disabled, I don't think strapping someone to the back of a motorcycle or wheeling them around in a bike trailer will go over very well.

I never really thought of physical disabilities, but I think that's not too important to me either.

I'm also in the boat of "it depends on the disorder and how much control they have on it". After living with someone who I strongly suspected had severe undiagnosed bipolar disorder, I never ever want to go through that situation again. And that was only a roommate situation!
