I've always wondered this, but how come random people who've you never spoken to on here are able to find you and add you? and I mean like usernames you've never seen once or twice or can identify.

I guess they found something interesting about you and decided to add you then and there? You think it's strange?

Many reasons. One, the matching system pairs you with people even if they're not on your friends list. Two, they can just add you from seeing you post on the forum. Three, the main pages showcase a bunch of new and old members alike. All and all, if you're a member, they can find you.

could be your on their matches list, could be they found you in the forums. Another possiblity is they found you via a friend who you might have talked to There's also that featured users thing on the new users page.
