It depends on how extreme it is I think. I am called one sometimes because I have done some gnarly stuff for work before as I have a high tolerance for discomfort and consider myself tough enough. I do not go looking for injury or harm but a little tooth and claw in the bed is fun sometimes in the heat of the moment. I don't think it can be all that weird, everyone is different in preferences and judgements. Now if you are a 'Cutter', no offense, you might have issues like a newsstand to address and should ASAP.

It doesn't matter what gender you are, but basically if you don't resort to hurting yourself to the point you risk your life or something similar, it's ok (as in it may not be accepted by society easily but accepted by me). Personally I would like a girlfriend that has a masochistic side but not all the time.
