Everybody that seems cool has no pictures of themselves. Some cool people do. Some don't and I'm sitting here think. am I not allowed to show my face. This book worm is confused

Just be yourself lol. Some people are just comfortable showing their faces while others aren't. Like myself, I could careless if people don't like how I look or see what I look like. You just have to do what you feel comfy with .

If you're concerned with being cool, I'm glad to inform you that there is no correlation between being 'cool' and having a picture of yourself up or of something else. I don't have one up, 'cause I like being a little mysterious B)

You're allowed sure, nothing stopping you. In fact, some people here have stated before that they wont deal with someone who doesn't have real photos of themselves up, since it might seem like they're hiding something. At the end of the day it's just a matter of personal preference really. Personally I wouldn't say I have something to hide, I'm just not comfortable with broadcasting personal info on the internet, but I'd share that info with someone if I felt I could trust them, that's all. Also, the general consensus that I've picked up here is that the people with real photos are usually the ones more interested in the dating side of things, where as people without photos tend to just like hanging out and making friends. That could go either way though, it's not a rule of thumb or anything.

That sounds reasonable. I don't want to plaster my face everywhere but I don't want it to seem like I'm hiding something. Hmmmmmmm what a dilemma

utsukushiikodoku, In that case what you can do is have a real photo uploaded but just not use it as your main. A few people here do that, and as such you aren't gonna have your real photo all over the place, but people can still see it on your profile if they're curious.
