Ever feel like you will never meet "the one"?

teaspoon
I'm going to be the romantic here and say that I do think there is such a thing as "the one". Sure it's not easy to find them, but once/if you do, you'll know. Think of all the billions of people on the planet. Out of all of them there has to be one that you get along with best/love the most. That's your one and only and you'll be very lucky to find them. :)

There are couples that just click, they worked hella hard at it. I'd imagine to each other they're the "one". But if one of them died, is there another "one" out there for them or will they be forever alone?

Do you think knowing that the person you're with is not the "one" would hold you back? Also what if you found the "one" while dating someone else?

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do Two can be as bad as one, it's the loneliest number since the number one 'no' is the saddest experience that you'll ever know Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know Yes, because one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do One is the loneliest number that you'll ever know It's just no good anymore since you went away Now I spend my time just making thoughts of yesterday (one by one) Because one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do One is the loneliest number that you'll ever know One, is the loneliest number One, is the loneliest number One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do One is the loneliest number, much worse than two One is a number divided by two

Yes, I do not subscribe to the idea of their being 1 person for you. I think that everyone is a possible match, but some just fit better. I think finding the person who helps to complete you is what to look for. Almost contradictory but I look at it in the idea that with both of you, no matter who you are, do you form a functional pair? When adding in preferences for things including looks and behaviour, if both sides agree, then you have found an optimal pair. So I don't look for the one, more of, is that person an optimal pair? If you want to use it in a sentance. But to find someone who can fulfill me and my needs and I can fulfill theirs is the idea I have. Don't limit yourself to one choice. Keep options but be dedicated. That is kinda my thinking so far, feel free to let me know if I am wrong or how my ideas should be changed. I would enjoy understanding better.

I do but I doubt it will last long. After two weeks I brake up with girls because I get bored of them. Not in a sexual sense but because they don't challenge me. Maybe when I start my MMA classes I can meet a tough chick that can keep up with me mentally and physically if last longer than 2 weeks lol.

No. I had a very realistic dream a couple of years ago where a girl I never saw before came to me and comforted me. It felt like we were the perfect match and that I had always known her. Then she told me she had to leave. I think "the one" for me is already dead and is waiting for me when I die. But as long as I'm alive I'm going to do the best I can.

You know what they say: the grass is greener on the other side. I would rather find someone who can tolerate me 40 years down the road than spend an eternity chasing after 'what-ifs'.

I don't know about the "one", but if you be the 6, I'll be the 9!
