Recap Episodes.

Do you think recap eps are a waste or not, for a 24/26 season, in the middle or toward the end? Some anime have these and most don't. I believe they are a waste for the 24/26 season. They are more needed for longer anime like a 100 ep. What do you think?

They're pretty awful. They'd be fine for a series that took a long break or something (like with Inuyasha: The Final Act resurrecting the series five years after the original finished - not that there was a recap episode at the start, but it would've been perfectly fine if they'd placed one there), but otherwise they're a waste of time. I don't think anyone's ever liked them.

yeah i agree they suck for who are the even ment to be ? its also cheap way to add a aditional episode this way maybe some do this just to get to the 13-12-24 episode mark

I never cared for any recap of anything: TV shows, movies, comics, videogames, even anime. To "me" I say just get on with it, I want to see what happens next!

well if the anime is realy long and u only watch it weekly not like we otaku in 1 go then a recap isn't to bad but they need to do it in a smart way not a full episode. Like the character thinking about what he went trough it helped me in some cases like One piece somtimes has good recaps.

well even when I was watching weekly as a kid, like digimon or what ever was airing. me and my brothers always hated the recaps. I think if your watching week to week it's actually worse because they usually do it right before something major is about to happen and you have to wait another week to see what happens. as a kid that was always the worse.
