Is cheating acceptable?

Coming from someone who has been cheated on before, It is never acceptable in my opinion. If you don't want to be with that person anymore or are interested in someone more so than the person you are currently with, break it off with them because it saves many hurt feelings as well as emotional healing of the other person. I'm not exactly sure why he cheated in my experience but I think it was he wanted attention from ladies all the time since I was busy with school & work while he just stayed at home & did nothing plus I wouldn't strip on the webcam for him so I guess he found a girl who would do anything for him no matter what.

Generally no, but there are some rare, very specific circumstances where it's understandable. Where it's only technically cheating, but not emotionally. A girl I was dating was married, but there was no relationship between them, they were only together due to a series of technical issues that cannot be solved for years.

Cheating is never acceptable under any circumstance. If you're not happy with the person you're with and you just don't feel much for them anymore and you want to move onto a different love interest - you break up with them. It's as simple as that. I've never experienced being cheated on and neither would I cheat myself but if I had to put myself in that scenario where I want to be with someone else - breaking up with the person I'm with really is the best thing to do.

I have a new outlook. I think if you're losing at Monopoly and the banker is easily swayed by your charm OR you ARE the banker. cheating is ok.
