Can't add new anime

All I know is that admins are never there when you need them, and in your face when not needed... Or so that's how most other games or forums are with their admins... Maybe they don't have enough funding to fix it?

I feel like admins should respond to feedback a little bit more. Many topics in this section are just users chatting back and forth. It feels like we are in the dark here.

I wonder if they will ever fix the broken link. I tried again to add a 2015 anime but it wouldn't let me. If the admins are not going to be on this site often they should at least allow the users to have more control over the content. We have a lot of duplicate anime that need to be deleted.

I think it's a safe bet that those really popular anime are already in there and the problem is with the search function itself. Pretty sure it's what results in all the duplicates when people don't find what they're looking for and try adding it themselves.

It would be great, if Search and Add new anime functions were fixed. I didn’t try to add a new anime recently (even though I would like to add a few), but I see that there is no option to add an image for an anime (“Upload Picture” is just a text, not a link or button). Till MO search is fixed, we can use google as a workaround, for example: "Sword Art Online (TV)" site:maiotaku.com I agree that duplicates should be removed, though I’m not sure what to do with people, who have added themselves to the duplicates. I don’t know what is (will be) technically possible, but it would be good to notify these people which duplicates among their favorite anime were removed, so that they can add the originals (if not added yet). Or they could be added automatically to the originals. Also, there should be a way to add images to anime that currently have no images. I’m not sure if it’s intended, but clicking “Edit” doesn’t have any effect atm. If we are not supposed to edit existing anime, there should be at least a report link to report missing images and wrong or insufficient descriptions (along with Duplicate and Spam report links).
