Prostituiton

Well first off, prostitution can lead to sex trafficking (one of the most common problems that existed when it was legal) And it doesn't protect the women / men doing it. Also, the people doing so would have to go through the processes one would have to if they had a small business, which would require the female to fully prostitute herself to be able to afford to live. Also, it is very un sanitary. There is no guaranteed way to make sure the people they are sleeping with are STD free and same goes to the woman. Hell, even in a male situation it is true. Also, just like the porn industry, once you go into it, it's near IMPOSSIBLE to get another job that it is out of that industry . And Since they would have to run it themselves in order to prevent a "pimp" situation. Then when that is legal, just like everything else that is legal for a certain age and up the younger ones will do it because "They are often told that they are mature" Or they can get away with it because they look like they are old enough. And then people will (and this also happened a LOT when it was legal) rape and say that it was prostitution means rather than actual rape. Also it makes it seem like the people who are doing the things for money are less of people and more of objects. People stop caring for what that person wants and more so what their own desires are. Dating is NOT anywhere near prostitution and i am kind of disgusted that one would compare the two. (Sadly, this is a very common thing i hear the stereotypical loner convention nerds talk about at cons...So i've already done so much research and the main reason they say they even considered it after i told them all the reasons it shouldn't is because they were tired of being virgins...)

I think it should be regulated by the government. Kind of like a hospital, kind of like sexual therapy centers. Why should sex between two consenting adults be illegal? I can tell you one thing; if it was legal there would be a lot less guys in the dating scene. It would help women too because they don't have to worry as much about the guy just wanting to get into their pants.
