are otaku girls really hard to find?

It seems like people say its hard to find an otaku girl.. how true is that guys? I honestly had no clue that there was a lack of otaku girls.. maybe I'm just super oblivious or didnt think about it because there are a lot of girls in the anime club at my school..

Although i am not a guy, and although not all of these cases are true,I've noticed a few things that happened NUMEROUS amounts of times when the case isn't distance/ area issues. 1. Guys tend to say this without looking. 2. when they are around, there are still guys who are picky or won't date them because they are not "pretty" 3. Guys i've interacted with have only looked for the beauties, and then hoped they had a "nerdy/otaku" side. 4. they find one, but get annoyed with them/ embarrassed by them. 5. the girls who are don't show their nerdy side and thus are never noticed. Not ALL (or even most)are like this, but i have met prime examples of this and have talked to a bunch of people in which this is the case.

Yes, if you don't live in a fairly populated area they are quite difficult to find, the older ones in there mid 20's and 30's+ are like diamonds, very rare. Not to mention that most guys have to find one that is attracted to them which adds to the difficulty.

Hard to find because I'm 28. Finding people with similar interests and my age group is a tough mix. Although age doesn't matter to me as long as the other is mature enough to handle a serious relationship, not everybody feels the same way when looking at me. Haha I'm not saying I look for omg super hot wtf girls, either. I don't. I just want somebody I am compatible with for other things BESIDES anime and such. Life's great with an otaku gf, but please have more in common with me than fruits basket or something.

Only with some guys is that true. But let's be honest, the same thing goes the other way around. I'm sure I can make a list girls do... but it would be about the same. Not all guys are like that, just like how not all girls arnt like that.

I've never seen an otaku girl over the age of 16 in real life before. Well, if you count otaku girls that are single and not married. I'd have a better chance of striking it rich in a gold rush than finding a single otaku girl my age.

Obsession, no. But a specific interest thst you two share definitely helps. .. Unless she's like my ex who was a complete slut bag anime lover >.>
