Hello Everyone!

Pleased to meet you, my name is Jen! I live in San Diego. I wouldn't consider myself an otaku, at least not in the commonly used western sense. However, having just said that just made me feel like I put myself into that category. Anyway. I do like anime, but I'm not into anything besides One Piece at the moment. I am pretty much a music nerd. Anything nerdy involving music will probably appeal to me. I have a lot of otaku friends, so they normally take me by force or otherwise to go to cons with them. To be fair to them it's not like they have to take me kicking and screaming. HOWEVER, I'm not one of those people you'll catch at the hotel parties unless I somehow am guided to them, like at Gaslight Gathering, a steampunk convention. I am no gamer. I play Pockie Pirates and Sims 3. lol That is the extent of my experience in gaming lore. Also, just because I am not a con partier doesn't mean I'm not extremely social. ^_~ My favorite thing to do is go to Japanese rock concerts. My favorite band is Dir en grey. I also like many others, particularly X-Japan. Being into Japanese rock has earned me many memories, and stories to tell. lol If you want to hear them, you'll have to contact me. Going to cons I have met some interesting people. Mainly at San Diego Comic Con. I've met Deadmau5, Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, Yoshiki, Stan Lee, Todd Mcfarlane among others. I also have a little collection of concert caught guitar picks. Ever since I caught Murphy Karges' pick during a Sugar Ray concert I've been particularly good at catching bass picks! But, I have also caught random stuff like Yoshiki's water bottle. And Kenzi from Anti Feminism's wrist bandana thing. I don't just love Japanese rock, of course! I love a lot of bands. I studied Japanese for 5 years, so I can speak, read, write etc. I'm not terrible at it, but I wouldn't consider myself fluent. I also sew, and "cosplay". Lately it's mostly dress up in a kigurumi, but it's still won me a prize. It's around Valentines Day, so a lot of people are miserable about being single. Really, that's not me. However, I came here with an open mind. So, I hope I get to know a lot of you people, given you want to get to know me. Thanks for reading my wordy introduction!

So long as you enjoy what you're doing in life, then it's all good. :) Happiness is key. Man, I want to get into One Piece but it's one hell of a mission. I know my friend who marathons Animes like crazy and caught up to the present day airing One Piece in one week flat. Idk how he did it lmao, takes me forever to get to shows in general ahah Cons are crazy fun, I think. :p The people around them are usually super cool n' chill so yeah ~ DIR EN GREY IS ORGASMIC TO THE EARS They also look good all the fucking time makes me jealous. What's your favorite song? Also I'm a pretty big music enthusiast :D. See, I appreciate like - everything. Mostly because I've went through like every genre with the exception of a few during my few years of living ahahah xD You have met more people that I've wanted to meet more than I could count my finances to fuel those dreams Q_Q;. Like, holy living shit - DeadMau5 AND Johnny Depp? /dying You - YOU - I would realllyyyYYYY lilke to hear like, EVERYTHING you have to say concerning the music realm. Do you even play at all? o: 5 years is quite a while :D Well, you still know it better than I do - enough to understand most things. Isn't it like, you've got to be able to recognize and understand 2000 characters in Japanese to read the newspaper well? I haven't gotten into really studying it yet - thinking I should go for classes come summer time if I'm serious about it. Need to put in the effort to learn, right? :) CosplaysssSSS ARE WONDERFUL.
