Opinions On Long Distance Relationships

Do you believe they can work? I've always had faith in them, but my last one didnt work out so well.Do you believe they work? Too difficult? Not trustworthy enough? Please explain. Much appreciated ^^

It can work but its harder and more diffcult but the payoff and rewards is so much better and satisfying. Granted Trust, Communication, and just being together in person. If you can get through it and see each other a few times a year then ultimate make the next step of moving in together. It cna work out but its really hard. I myself have done LDR in the past and I still believe they can work.

Two of my friend have had long distance relationships and now they both have the person they wanted living with them and also got engaged. So I think they can work. :) it helps you appreciate the others company more!!

.... depends on the people. Ive seen a girl cheat multiple times on one of the cutest and kindest guy there is. But then her personality was always about instant gratification and self centered. Then Ive seen my brother meet a girl in Texas and after a few months move down there and marry her. Then you have the people who lie about who they are and just try to get money from you..... Its a gamble but if it works out for the best its worth the chance

Possible but tough :\ Wouldn't recommend it unless you are really really really really really like that person :P. In my experience anyway XD.

I don't really go for those unless I met the person and they moved away or something but I really rather have someone local from me. >___< It doesn't feel real to me anymore for someone that I've never met to be so far away. I've had many online relationships but after experiences real relationships, I just can't go back to those. Makes me more comfortable to have the guy at least an hour away from me. No more than that. I've been cheated on a lot so it's hard for me to trust someone.

I personally don't have a choice. Since I'm in the military, I do go overseas for deployments for 6 months to a year so they'd have to work for me. I believe they can work, but with anything else both sides must give and take.

Yes, long distance can work :) You just both have to be the types that can deal with long distance. Also, you have to go into it knowing that it can't remain long distance forever. I'm in a long distance relationship right now. I just got back from being with him today. I was able to spend 6 days there. Three weeks ago he was by me for about 3 days. I live in Wisconsin and he lives in Maryland. I'm going to college in either DC or Maryland next year and then it will no longer be long distance (or only long distance by 40 minutes via metro if I go to the school in DC). Right now we have to fly to see each other.
