Opinions On Long Distance Relationships

I think they work out well enough for the most part, but depending on how strong the relationship is, time may wear away at it.

A lot of it also depends on the people involved. If they want the relationship to work and work so that it does, then it will~ If one or both don't make the effort to try and make it work, then no.. it won't work. It all depends on the people and how much effort they put forth to make the relationship work. And that goes for any relationship~ Even a marriage will fall apart if both partners don't work together in an effort to keep the relationship and feelings of love/romance alive. It's all about give and take, just as others have said.

What you put into a relationship, no matter the type, you should also receive in return and vice versa. If not? Somebody's going to get upset and that'll cause friction in the relationship. Friction's not good if you want a nice and healthy relationship with someone. However, a lot of times.. friction can be alleviated through conversation and trying to understand by putting yourself into the other person's shoes. Again.. It all depends on the amount of effort both partners put into it. :)

^ Totally agree. Open honest communication is a super important part of a healthy relationship anyways but doubly so if it's long distance

I had a LDR when I was younger that ended only because my parents found out and banned me from having any further contact with him, they were heavily convinced he was a cyber predator. Since than I've had two friends that have been successful, ones engaged and the other just had his gf move in with him. So it all depends on the people involved.

It varies. As my friend told me; "If you truly love your partner, you won't care if shes 30 mils apart or even 5000 miles apart. If you love her/him, you'll trust your partner and be faithful". If your faithful and trust your partner to be the same, then it'll work as long as you keep in touch alot
