It is very strict. We don't have a pledge of allegiance here. We only sang the national anthem at assemblies. The national anthem was followed by a reading of the Bible. That was once every week.

Yeah, my school was like that too. Although it was actually strict all the time. In the schools here we have to all wear school uniforms, stand up when the teacher enters the room etc. It's almost like how Japanese schools are in that respect.
