Metronome, that's Mekakucity Actors, technically the main character is one, but the anime is hard to recommend, personally.

I'm pretty sure most of us can agree that fans of anime and fans of video games tend to have a huge crossover. Plus there is a wide breadth of japanese music that some people enjoy a lot. Perhaps these could be added as interests for people to identify with?
