Tsunpaper @tsunpaper So basically all of the classics? XD
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper I demand that we all read more classics!
I read most of them and still have more of them to read.
Nobody @muffster Meh, some classics are really outdated XD Although some are really quite amazing.
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Non-believer!!!!!!
Joking aside, I studied history, so I read many of them to enrich my knowledge. They say art is a reflection of the time period and books... well I consider them to be the most knowledgeable form of art. They provide so much insight into the thoughts and ideas of the authors from that time period. It makes you wonder why did they write for their society? Was it for fun, or to establish a point?

Tsunpaper @tsunpaper LOL triple post, someone is definitely messing with me XD
Nobody @muffster XD I see your point however. I think there is a difference between a seriously outdated book and a book which is worth looking in too. Especially when you can only go so far with context, before you explore it all. For example, a book doesn't need context for it to be worth a lot. Sure, it enhances the experience the first time - but what happens once you take it away? It's one of the reasons why I disliked Lord Of The Flies so much. When you took all the endless allegories and symbolic imagery, all you had was a cluttered, not so well written book. It surely provides insight, but that's not only what a book should do in my opinion. I do get where you are coming from though ^^
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper Oh no I do agree, I don't believe are classics are good books. Their historical significance is very different from their literary significance.
Nobody @muffster Agreed~
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper All classics are not good books is what I meant to say XD
Nobody @muffster Gotcha XD

Tsunpaper @tsunpaper You see, the joke is, that is Socrates. He is famous for saying that we as people don't know anything. The one who knows nothing is wise. To claim that you know everything means that you know nothing. so don't feel bad I don't know anything either :D
Nobody @muffster Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I see. O-o Good to know XD
Tsunpaper @tsunpaper So know you know some Greek philosophy XD

Chocopyro @chocopyro Its clearly one of those fairy creatures that mainstream media mistakes as being undead, like banshees, willowhisps, and dullahans... Run faster!
