I think it would be interesting to see a tournament style anime with no main character. That means that more characters would get time to shine and it would be left more in the audience's hands to decide who they really wanted to become invested in. I would just be worried about the show becoming difficult to follow with so many characters getting the same amount of screen time.

In Soul Calibur I always play Siegfried. I know he can be cheap sometimes with his reach, but it's always fun seeing who can ring the other person out first in mirror matches and against Knightmare players.
