Yeah Fafner has basically the original tv series, heaven and earth which was a movie that canonically takes place inbetween s1 and s2, the second season Exodus, and an OVA called Right of Left that's a prequel

School Rumble actually, it's just a really fun romcom with a very likeable cast that somehow gets development all around. And then after that I'd say Fafner of the Azure, super underrated mecha anime series that so many people slept on honestly

Yeah, it's great. I honestly think everyone should watch LoGH at some point. Just for the storytelling, how character growth and relationships are handled. You actually some how care for every named character in some way ultimately

A polished unorthodox style does sound annoying to play against. But the way you describe it reminds me of a dude our high school team nicknamed "monkey" because of just how bizarre he'd serve and return shots. holding the racket with alternate hands, reversing his grip, spending an entire set hitting between his legs. Doing kicks and buggy whips. Was a funny guy.
