Until recently, I really wasn't sure where I wanted to go with my degree, but I have found a great passion on level design for video games. Building out the environment, in-game cutscenes, and making use of game mechanics to provide a challenge to the player is basically the gist of it. It's extremely fun and captivates me at my core. I also find myself consumed with 3-d modeling. Building everyday objects from scratch or even creating characters from my head onto the screen is extremely cool since my drawing skills are pretty much embarrassing. You really should do something that you like to do and not settle with something you don't feel is a passion for you. Else, you might end up feeling like a zombie, and animation is a good thing to like. It's not really my cup of tea, but I suppose one just needs to have the right knack for it. The industry is really looking for a lot of After Effects people. So, if you know your way around that, or if you can take a class on it and learn it, you get major props for an interview. Just something to look into if you go back to college for a few more classes.

Things are going okay, I just have to write a shotty essay about aboriginal art. Fun times...I'm more of a painter & drawer, with basic skills in graphic work. I love illustration, so that's probably the area in which I'm heading for. I would love to illustrate graphic novels for a living. The art school I'm attending hasn't really "wowed" me yet. Some of the teachers are fairly incompetent...which makes listening to them that much harder. Aha, but I love my drawing class though. That class has helped me improve on my skills ten-fold. How are things in art & life for you?

That's great! what career are you looking into after college? Greatest thing about the multimedia world is that there are so many different jobs to be had ^_^
