Another friend of mine has suggested I watch Madoka and I'm really not sure why I haven't done it yet. I love almost anything by Ume Aoki, Tetsunagi Kooni and Hidamari Sketch.
I have a hard time getting into shojo anime/manga like Shugo Chara (I just can't get into that art style for some reason) but I do really like Fruits Basket and Fushigi Yugi <-- another recommended series.
I've seen 10 of the 20 Studio Ghibli films, and I've loved each of'em =3. Tales from Earthsea isn't the best but it's still very good.
