I think that subs and dubs can both be good, so for me it really varies from anime to anime. Sometimes dubs really nail the voices and can make the anime that much better for me. Other times not so much and then I would just go with watching it subed.

Digimon was the one that I watched the most. But I did watch Pokemon, Yugioh, and I have fond memories of staying up late on fridays just to watch .hack. Didn't really realize that these were anime untill years later though.
