starting in reverse: I tried to not supercede or read too much of anything beyond the anime. i saw the anime first so i want to respect it and see the canon in motion w/ sound for the first time instead of reading. so my knowledge is relatively amateur, i guess is the case. and yeah I got really cozy vibes from the variability of body shapes from the diff characters in opm. over garou (i ended up googling that html and found that same pic, but ty ty!) tho i'd simp for mumen rider! like what a cute dummy. but yeah that slender/fit vibe isn't so unappealing at all, well more than super muscle-y broad shoulder shit for sure. all of my sexual interactions with masc ppl would be unique to their personalities so it's really hard for me to say how i definitively feel. separately, i really appreciated those same vibes in JJBA part 4 when everyone wasn't just a super macho jabrony anymore. if anything i feel more carnally appealed to those andro jojo poses in part 4/5 than anything from OPM off top, but ill have to rewatch it!

take your time ^_^ i'm trying to be more patient in general so this pace is welcome. i recently lost some close friends because i was too impatient with them so i'm learning. and yes i have seen opm and have read some of the manga/webcomics. but i didn't fully admit to myself that i was bi until like...a few months ago? it's a long story haha. i've always known but have internalized so much toxic heteronormativity that i told myself i was totally het for over a decade. not quite sure how that's relevant to one punch man but when i did see/read opm i considered myself *straight*, dunno if that will impact the nature of your curiosity or our discourse. should i go back and rewatch it? i've only seen each season once so i think outside of a new personal spin a rewatch is merited. i really enjoyed it. loveeee OP main characters "my brain is a fried egg right now" mine too haha. but it is intentionally that way for me so i'm all good =p hope you're feeling okayy!

your definition is noted. and hey! don't say never. if any other animals acquired clear sentience and could interact with humans in some kind of formal language I would hope the general consensus is the one that you hold. i really like that benevolent pragmatic utility vibe present there/that we mentioned last night. "I want animals to have the right to life and the ability to live that life unimpeded by humans." I can vibe with that sentiment. It definitely feels like getting into a weird form of murder RP trying to excuse killing animals for consumption, mainly because it feels instinctually justifiable rather than logically. even prior to these discussions, i've felt like eating animal flesh is just sating a carnal desire over something that is necessary or a fundamental part of a normative diet. skipping ahead and coming back "I think indigenous people are morally justified when it comes to their meat consumption." i think not only that, and not saying you don't agree with me here, but i think that there are numerous cases outside of "indigenous people" where meat consumption is ethical. while buying meat from most stores contributes to, which we agree is cruel, industrial animal agriculture, would it not cross the threshold into moral acceptability to only consume independently raised animals that live 'nearly' full lives in 'nearly' free conditions (the definition of nearly being up for debate) i feel as though there are financial/anti-capitalist obligations to concede in that regard, pointing specifically at potential class restrictions of safely/healthily being vegan/vegetarian. "However, the moral consideration of humans will always supersede that of animals" I agree that this will probably always be the case in terms of sapient over non-sapient animals, i don't agree that this SHOULD be the case. if anything I think violating something with a nervous system that can feel emotion and pain should always fall into the realm of morally unacceptable. yes there are all those obvious cases to bring up like saving a person/information from a nonhuman animal but I think that fully relies on instinctual justification rather than a logical one. basically a compooty wouldn't give a fuck if a person can make the world a better place or has insight to the true nature of existence, it's still just a meat sack filled with electricity. to make distinctions beyond that feels arbitrary and poetic rather than concrete and logical. "we are undeniably exceptional when it comes to the members in our kingdom" I mean yeah I absolutely agree but I also feel like we're a bit biased because ya know...we be ppl. It feels really lame to me for the default stance for us to be 'cognition/sentience/sapience is the the defining thing that makes you totally worth a damn'. i mean i DO completely agree but like...still feel as though it needs to be questioned and that skepticism is fair and rational I feel as though you may have questions for me after that =p specifically as to why I still consume meat. lmk ^_^
