That's a really nice story about the person and the elevator of fear...
My strangest encounter would have to be when I accidentally used the women's restroom but none of the women got mad, upset, or even seemed to notice I was there.
Lishifu @hakutaku Perhaps they thought you were a trans...
lolax27 @lolax27 That is a rather strange thing! But it’s awesome nobody even noticed. So, which moment in your life would you say has been most pivotal?

What was the strangest encounter with other people you've ever had?
lolax27 @lolax27 In real life or online? I’ve met many odd people in my life, and had many strange experiences. The strangest in person encounter would have to be at a doctors office when I was in 6th grade or so. All my life I’ve had a horrible fear of elevators, so much so I would cry and scream the second I got in one. We usually took the stairs, but this time I just had to suck it up and get into the elevator. As I was crying, a guy in his mid 20s who worked in the basement of the office was in there with me, and he sang, and he was so happy and he offered me so much comfort I actually felt like I was ok on an elevator for once. After we got off, he sat me down and we had a lovely conversation about fears and the limits they can have on people. After a while, it was eventually time to go, but he told me that I should come in the next day to show him my art. I ended up waiting a bit and coming in a week or so later, and try after try, I couldn’t find him. To this day I haven’t seen the man again, and have no idea if he works there or not still, but I’ll never forget his positivity and understanding. It may have not been a weird or crazy experience, but it was the first time I felt comfortable and not ashamed of my fears. But I do find it odd that it seems he disappeared off the face of the earth.
lolax27 @lolax27 As for a kind of weird encounter, when I was younger I dressed pretty much like a guy 24/7. And one time we all went out somewhere and this younger guy was around and looking at me (or so I thought) just as I thought he’d compliment me, he turned to my grandmother and said “jeez your grandson is so hot the girls must love him!” Not the response I expected but still got a good laugh out of it. What kind of strange encounters have you had?

Diary of an oxygen thief seems pretty interesting, I might look into that one... I haven't read x, I loved Chobits by Clamp so I will probably look into X.

Finished those books you were reading? What are you reading now?
lolax27 @lolax27 I finished up Candy which was wonderful! I’m finishing up Nabokov’s Lolita, I adore the movie and I read a bit of the book in previous years, but this time I’m starting over to experience it again. I’m also re-reading the X/1999 manga series (I’m on volume 6). And I’m also reading “ Diary of an oxygen thief” which I started a dropped for a bit a few months ago (only because I had too many books to take on) and I adore it so far

I feel like "The Ancient Magus Bride" would be another good show/manga to add to your list... It's a darker themed fantasy romance.
Amir @amir_bahram I don't think its dark at all. But yes, very good show.

It's a psychological horror involving a mysterious orphanage... Don't want to spoil anything.
lolax27 @lolax27 Now I just have to check it out! Sounds super up my alley, if you have any other recommendations feel free to tell me!

So it seems your reading habits aren't too weird... I asked my sister who is also a heavy reader if it's uncommon to read multiple books at the same time to which she replied with "I usually have at least 2 books that I read simultaneously, sometimes more if there's a book that we have to read for a class". I guess I'm the weird one... Not surprising really...

Lishifu @hakutaku Reading multiple books is feasible, I once read five books of different topics at the same time. It is also a good way to kill time.
lolax27 @lolax27 That’s very interesting! And I think it all depends on the person. Some people find it confusing to read more than one at a time while other people it makes sense. For me, it’s usually when a book gets too overwhelming or boring or I feel like I’m not reading enough, mixing in another story is fun. And overall I think there’s really never too many books to be read, if I read one at a time I’d never get them done
Marcus @marcus_k Yeahhh, same. I tend to jump between books so it takes me aaaages to actually finish one while reading a lot xD
Marcus @marcus_k Sometimes... One book takes, and another just doesn't xD Just like music ;p
