I really don't like that this site pretends to be a dating site though. I mean the feature is nice to have (in the same way of how you can see who is single on facebook) but the site really seems to function more like a fb for otaku. I joined this site recently, seeking friendship and feeling open to romance. But, I am getting discouraged because even though there are lots of cool people on here, most of them are not in my city. I can't hardly find anyone in my state actually. And just like with facebook, I find it difficult to truly keep up with, or form real bonds with, people who I do not interact with in person or through activities together (which is why I was hoping to meet local people >_<).
