I think this is mainly because I hold traditional values. While I am looking for something serious and genuine, many people just want something casual. What makes the search even more difficult these days is the fact that many are no longer willing to put effort into a relationship, and "love" has become something superficial without depth. People tend to focus more on appearances and what they themselves possess, rather than on who the person is on the inside. Of course, physical appearance matters too, but fundamentally, character has taken a back seat.
