I guess what I'm talking about with anime are tropes, like, you got your tsundere girls, toast in the mouth, accidental falling onto a girl into an ecchi position. Gags like that are funny in parody anime like Gintama. As for music you should give m-flo a try. It's my favorite Japanese band and I don't think anybody really knows about 'em so they're definitely underrated. You'll find a girl in no time; you're pretty.
