Inside there lies a flame locked into an eternal war.
A war with the encroaching and all consuming darkness.
This flame ignites the beginning and flickers away with end.
Throughout time, this flame struggles between roaring blaze and tiny flickering light.
The outcome of war never changes yet the little flame continues to fight the call of oblivion.
For what purpose does this flame continue light up the dark and watch the dancing shadows continue to advance.
It's a signal and sign to continue and endure no matter the struggle.
This flame continues to light my path throughout all telling me to find the path.
Yet at times I hear the call of dark, telling me to extinguish the flame and fade into oblivion.
I know the flame will lose in the end and wonder if choosing oblivion is the right choice.
To fade away into the vast inky darkness, never to be seen again.
This flame is my guide and also my end.
Should I continue to find this path or heed the call.
I continue with the flame for now to find my way.
In the end, no matter the resistance I will heed the call and enter into oblivion.
