Hahaha XD Yes, of course, so respectable. It's practically designed for the absolute gentleman.

LOL XD A very interesting game indeed... Clearly intended for men. I can't find a link for the game I played, but it was an online version on this nostalgic game site called Playr. I stumbled across it randomly and was like, "Hey, this looks interesting, let's play this!"

Only if they've got all hiragana. x . x I've played a game that was called Black Onyx; that was pretty interesting. My brother-in-arms (don't ask, it's complicated, haha) has a Japanese version of one of the Pokemon games, I don't know which, and I really want to play it!

Good idea, but pronunciation isn't my problem. I grew up learning languages and making up my own, so I can pretty much adopt any accent I want. If I have trouble, I get on Skype and voice chat with my Japanese friends. ^^ It's the identification of the kanji that troubles me more, the reading of it.

Oh, it's going great. I'm not so much translating as trying to use my favorite stories to help me be able to recognize and understand kanji. If you know a sentence is talking about two nuclear missiles being transformed into a bowl of petunias and a rather surprised-looking whale, it helps a lot more to know ahead of time than to be identifying the kanji and then stopping to wonder, "Wait, what...?" Also, it helps to identify quicker. I already know the kanji for "taiyou" (sun) "ginga" (galaxy) "henpi" (remote) and several other words, and that's just by going over the first few sentences. I'm talking about a book I've read so much in English that I've practically memorized it, haha.

That's sad! But at least you found some way to communicate for a while. That's good. ^^
notexactlyright
Interesting! Were you able to communicate despite that or was it too difficult? My friend in Taiwan still makes a good number of English mistakes, but she and I can also speak via Japanese (she started learning a couple years after I did), and she and I are studying kanji together when we can.
