I don't recall the DT880 ever bothering me, maybe where it touched the top of my head. I put Audeze microsuede earpads on my Audio-Technica and they are supremely comfortable. The stock pads are too shallow. If you don't know Audeze, they make headphones in the $1000-4000 range. (I can't afford them, lol) I'm a member on a forum called headfi where I've been learning about headphones for years.

I never got a chance to try the DT880 on a good amp, I actually used them out of my phone on my walk to work, lol. The AD1000X improved lots with my upgraded tube amp. Very around the head soundstage. Although it was never as expansive as the DT880 which could occasionally fool me into thinking a sound came from the room around me if I wasn't paying attention.

I don't see why you apologized to her. You had nothing to apologize for, and that just made you far less attractive in her eyes. I'd say don't message her ever again, but if she messages you back begging for things to go back to the way they were, roll with it.
